Dear Patricia ,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
Greetings from Dr Satish.
I have gone through your case history and ekg was normal and there were 2 episodes.
I would suggest to do thyroid profile
Do Holter Monitoring for 24 hrs and if possible send the report so as to identify the cause of palpitations.
Some times during menopause state you may have hot flushes along with palpitations.
Avoid caffeine related products to precipitate palpitations.
Are you suffering from any risk factors like Hypertension, Diabetes .

Hello, dr...no diabetes ..just allergies...and severe anxiety...I noticed I wrote that I wore the holter for 2 hrs...I meant I wore it for 24 hrs...and it reported I had 2 episodes and I did only feel one...I'm getting a couple of heart palputaions a day now ..with a hot flash with it...when I do get one..Getting a couple a day...just wondering if this is common?...and I am still in menopause..?? seeing I haven't had a period in 6 yrs?...my blood test came back good...only cholestrol elevated alittle 271..my thyroid came back good too...just the palputations that are scaring me......?? this is a new symptom for me what do you think?..is it from me being still menopausal?
Hello Patricia, I would like to see the Holter report to see type of episode, whether it is significant enough to be treated.
As you said you have severe anxiety, that can also cause palpitations.
With still having hot flashes probably you are going through the menopause phase.
Check the thyroid profile.
