Resolved question:
I have had gallbladder issues for quite some time, I had it removed about 5 weeks ago, and I was still having pain, the er gave me an ultrasound and lots of blood tests and they all came back ok dr said everything was normal. Then I received an email with my liver was mildly enlarged and my enzymes have been slightly elevated. I'm about 5'6 250 lbs and always have been told that I have a fatty liver. I am a severe hiporondriac(spelling) and I'm basically wondering if my doctor isn't worried, should I still be? I have had problems with pain pills and have been off them for about a month now. Could that be the cause? I also had a bad anexiety attack yesterday and went to the er and they ran an EKG and a ct scan and everything including my liver was okay, but still elevated enzymes( the dr said very slightly elevated) I'm just a nervous mess and need to calm down. Can you please shed some light on

I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
I would like to have some more information before I can give my opinion.
1. Where exactly you feel the pain now.
2. What pain pills were you taking?
3. How long do these pain episodes last?
4. What relieves the pain?
5. Can I have the liver enzyme values?
6. Was endoscopy done?
Kindly get back to me with these information and I would give my opinion.

So, I no longer have pain. I've started a perscription of Pepcid that has been doing great! I finally don't feel anything. I was on norco 10's on and off for about 3 years. I don't have the values of my blood but I know for a fact they weren't even doubled. And all my other blood was normal, I was told it's still my body adjusting to no having a gallbladder and the meds I was then taking.
Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
Good to hear that you no longer have pain.
Since the liver enzymes were not even doubled, it is insignificant and I would not worry about those values.
Since you are feeling better with Pepcid, it is more likely that the pain you had was due to acidity.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
