Do Mirtazapine and Bupropion effect sperm health mobility and count

There are NO reports or data which shows evidence for decreased sperm count, motility or any sperm analysis parameter in general.

However there are isolated case reports of decreased sperm motility because of the use of Bupropion. (None available for Mirtazapine). These are mostly observational reports and cannot be considered statistically significant.
The two drugs are relatively free from causing sexual dysfunction when compared to other anti – depressants. More over anti-depressants related effects on sperm parameters will reverse once the drug is stopped.
In short, with available information it can be safely assumed that both drugs has got NO significant influence on sperm parameters. However caution is advised , and consult your Doctor before taking the medication.

Would you advise trying to conceive while on this medication? My partner is taking these.If its advised not to be taking the drugs while trying to conceive, I would be interested to know what the alternative would be as his mental state deteriorates drastically when not taking them.

Yes, why not. Male partner taking anti depressants will not affect the baby's health as per available information. The concern is only if the mother is taking the drugs. Since he is well controlled with these medication he can continue these. Anyway do inform your Psychiatrist regarding this.
