Resolved question:
I had a blood test, and everything more less normal,
exept Creatinine a bit low and ggt was very high 1000.
The doctor did not examine me but he conluded that I need a new liver soon.
Bur ~I read every where that having few heavy drinking nights th GGt get elevated.
What is your opinion?

Hello, Thank you for asking your query at DoctorSpring.com. From the information you have provided, I understand that you have a high of GGT level in your blood tests. When you say that every thing is more or less same, I assume that Liver function tests like Biluribin, AST, ALT, Alakaline Phosphatase etc are normal too. If that's the case you are having a entity called 'isolated GGT rise' Alcohol intake and drug intake are the most common cause for an isolated GGT rise. I cannot comment why your Doctor said 'you need a new liver'. He could be joking or trying to warn you from drinking. Anyway, its better to abstain from alcohol for a couple of weeks and redo the test. The values should normalize by then Always try to drink within safe limits. Hope this helps.
