Discomfort, pain in stomach, throat and unable to eat.

Resolved question:
I am having serious problems motivating myself to eat, the bottom of my throat hurts and my stomach is making lots of noise and giving me incredible discomfort and pain constantly.

I got back from a lads weekend away drinking lots of alcohol etc and 5 days later had acid reflux and heartburn (Friday), then a feeling like something is stuck in my throat which has not left me. My throat is fairly tender at the bottom in the middle of my collar bone. On the Sunday I could no longer eat anything, on the Monday I started experiencing the stomach discomfort, on Tuesday this worsened and right now Wednesday it is extremely bad I can't even go into work and it is constant.

I have not eaten since Sunday and feel sick when I try to eat.

I went to see the doc and she gave me antacids which don't seem to have worked. She said I don't have a throat infection as there was no pus. I have not vomited yet and no diarrhoea as of yet.

Can someone please help me and let me know what the issue with my throat, stomach and appetite is?

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query at DoctorSpring.com

I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
The feeling lump in the throat is called globus. Castro esophageal reflux disease is one of the causes.
The abdominal discomfort is due to gastritis.
Alcohol intake has lead to both these issues.
You need to quit alcohol till you get relief from these symptoms.
You can take Prilosec for 4-8 weeks for complete relief of symptoms.
If you have the habit of smoking you need to stop that also.
You also need to avoid coffee, citrus, chocolates, tomatoes, fatty food, carbonated beverages.
Avoid eating full stomach and eat multiple smaller meals. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.
I hope that answers your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.R.K
