Different results of THYROID LAB work. Cause?

Resolved question:
Hello,

I am a 33 year old female. I recently had some Thyroid Lab Work Done on 02/08/2015 which the results from the first time are:

TSH -0.700

T4-7.37

Sed Rate - 40

I had them rechecked by another physican on 02/19/2015 , and the results from this time were:

TSH-0.39

T4- 1.26

Sed Rate - 27

My question/concern are I am scheduled to see an Endocrinologist due to the first set of labs, Should i see them even though the labs from the recheck are different?

Hello,
Thank you for your query at DoctorSpring.com
I understand your concern.
The reports seem normal, in both the situations. You haven't mentioned the units for T4 especially in the second report. And the symptoms because of which you got the tests done.
I can further advise based on that,
Regards.

My Gastrologist is the one that ordered my Inital labs b/c I am having Stomach Issues which Both a colonoscopy and EGD were done and the EGD showed Gastrits, Esophagitis, Hiatal Hernia, Which a Biopsy was done and showed Barretts Esophagus , During my follow up visit with the Gastro Doctors I was still having these symptoms which were not resolved from medicines -Bloating, Diarrhea, Weight Loss, VERY fatigue, Irregular Heartbeats, Moodiness
I went to See My Rheumatologist ( I do Have Rheumatoid Arthritis) and She wanted a recheck done along with additional labs.

Hello,
Update on your consult : ( From InHouse Physician )
This consult has been reviewed by our endocrinologist and gastroenterologist. The endocrinologist has ruled out any thyroid abnormalities based on reports. Since your follow-up had predominant gastric symptoms, I requested our medical gastroenterologist to review and give his suggestions. So kindly review his reply and you can further post follow-ups for him.

On the thyroid aspect, there is no need to be worried.
Your symptoms are not suggestive of any thyroid disorder. Moreover the thyroid levels are all normal, so there is no need of an endocrinologist opinion as of now.
You have esophagitis and gastritis. Also, barrets esophagus has been confirmed. These all point towards severe GERD, and chronic reflux leads to such changes in the mucosa. So it is extremely important you start taking a proton pump inhibitor like Omeprazole or Rabeprazole 20 mg once daily before breakfast and also take Syrup. Sucralfate 2 teaspoons twice daily after meals till your symptoms subside.
I will also advise an ECG for your irregular heartbeat. Although, anxiety can lead to such irregular heartbeats.

Regards.
