Resolved question:
Hi there,
I am a 24 years old married female. I am sexually active and used to do it very often. Recently my husband told me that he has got affected with HPV. He came to know about that while doing a medical checkup and it is not known, for how long he has got it infected. I have been having sex with him for about 2 and half years. Is there a chance that my daughter has got infected? I am immune to HPV, as I have taken HPV vaccination before. Is there a chance to transmit the virus to our next baby? Please help.

Thanks for the concern in confirming the possibility of getting your daughter of next baby infected with HPV. Vaccines are used to prevent a possible infection getting transmitted to us. It do not offer protection against a disease you already have. As far as HPV vaccines are concerned, it protects those who have taken it at least 6 months before getting active sexually. If you are protected with the vaccine before the first time you had sex with your partner, you are sale along with your daughter and next baby. It is really rare that a HPV infection getting transmitted to your child in this condition. So, rest is assured. Take care.
