Hello. Thank you for posting your query at our health forum.
It seems your girl friend has picked up a bad stomach bug. Can happen if a person consumes outside food, or eats some contaminated food. She needs to take Tab. Loperamide to control the frequency of her stool. One tablet will stop her loose stools and also reduce the cramping.
Normally cramping associated with abdominal pain denotes bacterial infection. So i will advise the following :
1) Tab. Ofloxacin- Ornidazole ( Generic combination, any local OTC brand can be taken ) one tablet twice a day for 3-5 days depending on the severity.
2) Tab. Loperamide SOS ( to control loose stools )
3) Probiotic supplements like curd fortified with lactobacillus
4) Plenty of water. Make sure she is adequately hydrated.
5) Bland food for the next 2 days.
6) Tab. Pan 40 one tablet, once in the morning, before breakfast for one week.
This will help her. Try to start the medicines as soon as possible.
Feel free to discuss further,
Regards
