Resolved question:
Hello, I am a 28 year old male. Recently I have noticed brown patches on both the back of my shoulder and around my naval, they both appear to be different in appearance. I honestly do not know the length of time they have been there.

Hello
Thanks for your query.
These brown patches are not moles. on the abdomen, it seems to be dark spots follwing maybe a rash. other possibility would be fungal infection called pityriasis versicolor.
On the shoulder it appears to be lentigenes. However a dermatoscopy on these lesions would be important.
To treat the fungal infection it would be advisable to apply nizoral lotion in equal dilution with water on the abdomen for 15 mins before bath, for a week daily.
The colour maybe regained back after 6 weeks.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
Take care
would a dermatascopy be advised on both sets of markings?
i was under the impression that the marks on my abdomen where the fungal infection you mentioned , however they appear to be brown coloured spots as opposed to pale. Could it be possible that they are Cafe-au- lait spots?
Hello
Thanks for your reply.
On the abdomen, they are not cafe au lait. It seems like fungal infection. A dermatoscopy is not required for it.
On the shoulder a dermatoscopy is required.
Take care
How urgent would you say the dermtascopy is on my back?
i was only able to find Nizoral shampoo, will this suffice?
Hello,
It does not look like anything alarming from the picture.
However, the sooner the better according to your convenience.
