Resolved question:
I have a knee injury with multi-ligament, meniscus repair. But the knee joint had developed stiffness from the past few months. I had gotten the stiffness released once with simple manipulation and then by arthroscopy but it reoccurs even with continous physiotherapy. Now the doctors say various reasons - infection, cartilage damage, scarring etc..for this tendency.
The current condition of my knee is that everything that has to be in place is in place (surgically the work is done) but the range of motion is ~ 10*. My knee is stuck in 90* position. To make me walk the only practical option the doctors see is arthrodesis - knee fusion which sounds extreme.
In this situation I'm thinking whether a magnetic pulser can help remove any infections and heal the scar tissue in the region so i might regain my knee range of motion. Is that possible?
What other action can i take? Please help. I have been in this position for months now. Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your consult at DoctorSpring.com. I have read your question with diligence.
It looks that you are having Arthrofibrosis. Your present condition should be gradually improve with physiotherapy. You should continue this.
As there are multiple damages to your knee, any other options except replacement and arthrodesis will not be helpful for you.
Hope this helps, I would be glad to answer any follow-ups.
With best wishes.
Thank you for your quick reply.
Physiotherapy is too painful.
I might go for Knee fusion next week. Doctor said if the cartilage and everything else inside is in good condition, they may simply straighten the knee and put plaster or other type of external fixtures.
Worst case they will fuse the knee. Im only 26. Cant imagine life with a fused knee.
Thx anyway. I wanted a second opinion.
You are welcome. Wish you good health and speedy recovery.
