Abdominal cramps all day but no period

Resolved question:
Hi, I had cramps all day yesterday which ended up become quite painful. They felt like menstrual cramps but I still have not had any bleeding and normally when I get pains it is usually on the first day of my period. If it helps I also noticed I had thick clear (almost gel-like) discharge the night before the cramps started. What could this be?

Hello,

Thanks for your consult at DoctorSpring.com.

Could you tell me the date of your last menstrual period ?
Also, the normal duration and length of your menstrual cycles ?

What you describe sounds very much like premenstrual syndromes.
Sometimes, cramps DO start a couple of days before periods begin.
the cervical mucus discharge also thickens when the period is due.

Please let me know the relevant dates ( also if you are sexually active, and there is any risk of pregnancy ) so that I can answer you more specifically.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
Take care.

I haven't really kept track of my periods recently as I have just moved. I thought I was due today, (my periods normally come around every 30 days) but I 'm not certain, I could have had one just over 2 weeks ago. They normally last for about 6 days.

I have not been sexually active for at least a year with the exception of 10 days ago when my boyfriend and I were (for want of a better word) 'fooling around'. However there was no actual penetration.

Hi again,
It could be the beginning of your period.
Wait it out for a few days, if your period begins, what you felt was pre menstrual cramps.

It it doesnt, and the cramps and discharge persists, have a gynec check up to rule out any pelvic infections.

All the best.
